It is that time of year again, Christmas and the New Year are fast approaching. This year, the HAAMB office will be closed starting on December 23, 2024 and reopening on January 6, 2025 for regular business. Any emails and text messages during the closure period, will be a priority when the office reopens on January 2025. Have a good day.

2024 Summer Student Carpentry Program

On Oct 18, 2024, The completed Summer Student Sheds prizes were drawn with the help of Carolyn Carter Jones and Stella Pilessey. Thank you to all whom took the time to complete a survey from ALFDC.

The winners of the sheds from Nawash were: 10 x 10 shed to Cecily Keeshig and the 8 x 8 shed to Christine Keeshig. The Saugeen Shed winners were: 10 x 10 shed to Holly Fontaine and the 8 x 8 shed to Stephanie John who gifted the shed to her Family.

Thanks to Stewarts towing for helping HAAMB with the Deliveries and offering suggestions to make the Shed Delivery easier for next time.

2024-25 IAFNIYES/Skills Link programming, by Special Projects Coordinator.

HAAMB was approved by Indigenous Services Canada to deliver the IAFNIYES/Skills Links, Second Chance Program for youth clients on Ontario Works. The program is designed to assist Indigenous youth from Saugeen and Chippewas of Nawash First Nations to transition from training to full-time employment. A host of safety programs will be offered and pre employment certificate programs such as WHMIS, Food Handlers, Dress for Success, Career Development, etc. Watch for postings coming soon to apply to the program.
